Congress will not vacate National Herald House, SC stays Delhi High Court's decision

The National Herald House, located in the heart of Delhi, has been at the center of a legal battle between the Indian National Congress and the Associated Journals Limited (AJL). The AJL, which owns the National Herald newspaper, had leased the property to the Congress party in 2010 for its headquarters. However, in 2018, the Delhi High Court ordered the Congress party to vacate the property, stating that the lease had ended and that the party was illegally occupying the premises.
